Methods of Therapy

There is no “one size fits all” approach to therapy. Even evidence-based practices don’t work for everyone. We at Tap In Counseling, offer an approach to each session that is centered around you and your specific desires. Some of the methods or lenses we use to treat our clients are EMDR and CBT.

Maybe you feel like you thoughts are everywhere all at once. Maybe you feel like if something was just slightly different, you would be able to excel at home, at work, and in your community. Maybe you feel like you’re constantly trying to get something right and yet still failing all at the same time. I get you. I have been in those places in my life many times, and I’m here to tell you that you can take control of those thoughts and emotions and learn to excel.

I am a licensed professional counselor who loves to sit with others and help them sort out their thoughts and mindset and create healthier ones. I have been practicing for 3 years. I am also trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy and working towards a full certification. I love to use bi-lateral stimulation in sessions to help calm each person’s nervous system in order to help them gain understanding and confidence in themselves.
